My MAC Blusher Collection

There was once a time where I never used to bother with blusher. I didn't get it. Most of the time I was layering on the slap in an effort to cover up my skin's tendency to glow like a beacon the minute I stepped into a stuffy room, why would I want to throw an artificial flush into the mix?
I quickly discovered that not all blushes are made equal, and, hot pink, Aunt Sally blushes to one side, they can be really flattering, if you choose the correct shade. It was around the same time that the hoarding of peachy/pink blusher began.
Today, I thought I would give you a peek at my MAC blusher collection so far:

Left to Right - Margin, New Romance, Blush All Day, Breath Of Plum & Warm Soul

MAC Margin Powder Blush (Frost) - I adore this blusher. It's a warm, rosy peach with a soft, gold sheen to it. The frosted finish blushers contain shimmer particles to give it that high-shine look but Margin is neither too sparkly nor chunky looking. It's one of my absolute go-to blushes for Summer as it really accentuates a tan, giving off a beautiful, sun-kissed finish. The shine is such that you could forgo highlighter when wearing a blush of this kind.
MAC New Romance Mineralize Blush -  I recently featured this in my, 'If I could only pick one' blog post and for good reason - this blusher is hands down one of my most-used and most-loved. It imparts a delicate pink flush on the cheeks, giving a very fresh-faced appearance. If you're looking for a blush that's going to brighten up your face but still look youthful and feminine, this is the one. MAC's Mineralize blushes are a baked powder and have a soft sheen to them. 
MAC Blush All Day Pro Longwear Blush - This blush is a warm, dusty pink shade with a semi-matte finish. It contains a very light shimmer which doesn't translate as such on the skin. This is a great daytime appropriate blusher shade. It's very natural and wouldn't look out of place paired with minimal make up. The Prolongwear formula is long-lasting and, whilst the shade I own is very understated, you can build it up for a more intense finish. This isn't a showstopper, but it's a great neutral blush that would really add warmth to fairer skin tones. 
MAC Breath Of Plum Powder Blush (Sheertone) - This blush has a sheer yet buildable formula that again, gives a very natural flush to the skin. The pinky/plum shade is on the darker side and it's not often I go for a blush of this colour but Breath of Plum really is beautiful. The fact that this blush has a sheer finish is what makes it work, for me. The colour isn't too intense so it's easy to carry off. This is a perfect shade for Autumn/Winter and would look especially beautiful on very pale complexions. 
MAC Warm Soul Mineralize Blush - This was the very first MAC blusher that I purchased and it's very much in the same family as Margin in terms of being a warm peachy/pink. Warm Soul is slightly warmer (unsurprisingly) than Margin and the shimmer is a little chunkier. I definitely think that these two blushes are different enough that owning both is justifiable - or at least that's what I tell myself anyway!
