Review: Bea Skincare

I'm coming at you today with a review of a rather exciting skincare brand from renowned London-based Skin Specialist Bianca Estelle. With over 15 years' experience and a dedicated international client base, Estelle used her experience, in conjunction with an FDA-certified laboratory in the United States, to develop Bea Skincare - an expertly formulated range of innovative skincare products, designed to treat a broad range of skin types and conditions.

The Bea Skincare line consists of a number of targeted ranges that are suitable for every skin type and need. There's The 5 Step Daily Regime, The Advanced System Range featuring anti-aging masks and AHA rejuvenating wands, The Luminesence Range which contains everything you need for a glowing complexion, The Acne Care Range, The Master Antioxident Range and The Essential Range containing anti-bacterial blotting paper, konjac sponges and organic cleansing wipes.

I was lucky enough to be able to try out two Bea Skincare products recently - the Vitamin C 20% & Hyaluronic Acid Serum from the 5 Step Daily Regime and the Glyco Serum 15% from the Acne Care Range. Here's how I got on:

A little background on my skin. I typically have normal to dry skin that can occasionally be sensitive to harsh products. I also rarely get blemishes but I sometimes get the odd hormonal breakout on my chin.

Vitamin C 20% & Hyaluronic Acid Serum (link) - My skin absolutely loves Hyaluronic Acid and it's an essential part of my skincare routine. I always ensure that my skincare contains this ingredient as it's lightweight yet offers excellent hydration. I find that using heavier creams clogs up my skin and leads to breakouts so I've stuck exclusively to hyaluronic acid moisturisers for over a year now.

Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and it works by drawing in moisture, leaving skin plump and hydrated. This hyaluronic acid and vitamin C serum is designed to lighten hyperpigmentation, remove dead skin cells and hydrate the skin without leaving it congested.

I absolutely LOVE this product. I've been using it daily for just over 3 weeks and every morning I wake up with fresh-looking, hydrated skin. Even after the first use I was surprised at how soft and smooth my skin felt the next day, the difference was huge. It is recommend that you use the serum twice daily, morning and evening, after cleansing. I've been using it every evening, and most mornings before I apply my usual moisturiser over the top and I'm completely sold. If you have dry skin and are in need of extra hydration, I highly recommend incorporating hyaluronic acid into your skincare routine.

Glyco Serum 15% (link) - Lately, I've had a couple of hormonal breakouts on my chin and so I've been using the Glyco Serum every evening as a targeted acne treatment. The serum contains a high concentration of Glycolic Acid which is an effective skin resurfacer. The addition of green tea and chamomile means the serum doesn't irritate the skin, unlike some glycolic acid treatments I've tried previously. The Glyco Serum is designed to unclog pores, remove dead skin cells and accelerate skin cell turnover which leaves skin feeling fresher and smoother.

This product would be ideal for someone with oily and acne-prone skin or anyone who suffers from regular breakouts. I've found that whilst using this, my breakouts have mostly cleared up and I'm hoping that with continued use, future breakouts will occur less often.

So, final thoughts.

I am seriously impressed with Bea Skincare and I'm really excited to try more from Estelle's incredible range of products - Luminescence Range I'm looking at you!
