Five Beauty Brands To Try

There was once a time in which a trip to the MAC counter was all I ever needed. Before that it was Rimmel and before Rimmel it was lip gloss roller balls from the latest issue of Sugar magazine.

These days, I'm all about discovering new brands. With more and more online retailers starting to stock previously inaccessible cosmetics, the desire to branch out and expand my make up collection has become too big to ignore.

First it was a sizeable Makeup Geek order and then I hopped onto the Dose Of Colors website to bag myself some of their matte, liquid lipsticks. My list of brands to try has since spiralled and so I thought I would share with you the top five that I've set my sights on.

Five Beauty Brands To Try, Becca Cosmetics, Kat Von D Beauty, Morphe Brushes, Kevyn Aucoin, Colourpop Cosmetics
1. Morphe Brushes. Since these brushes have been available to purchase in the UK, I've seen more and more blog posts popping up featuring these 'Tuber favourites, and reports look good. My make up brush collection isn't huge and decent quality additions are always welcomed. I'm particularly interested in some of the contour and eye brushes.

2. Kat Von D. Since the arrival of KVD products in the UAE, I've been itching to get my hands on a few of her products to try out. The main one being the liquid lipsticks. The current shade selection on offer is pretty dismal so I'm holding out for more to land in store soon. Bow N Arrow is sitting pretty at the top of my list, whilst I also feel obliged to purchase Lolita.

3. Kevyn Aucoin. The addition of this name on my, 'Brands to Try' list is purely down to Alina from Beauty With Charm. Through her recommendation, I started to delve into swatches, reviews and various claims that the Sculpting Powder was an absolute must for any beauty lover who was looking for a flawless contour. I'm also having pretty lustful feelings towards the Candlelight Celestial Powder.

4. BECCA. The day that BECCA cosmetics release a blush palette is the day that I will sell my soul for a beauty product. Even though the highlighters seem to be where the money's at, I can't help but find myself doe-eyeing over the stunningly beautiful blushes.

5. Colourpop. The KJ Lip Kit drama reignited my interest in this brand and whilst I care very little for the kits themselves, I'm intrigued by the supposedly 'borrowed' Colourpop shades and pretty much everything else that the website has to offer too.

Have you tried any of these beauty brands and if so, what are your thoughts?

Are there any beauty brands that you have yet to try but would like to get your hands on, and do you have a favourite online store to purchase beauty products from?
