Life Through A Lens #9

How is it the end of August already? I swear someone has had this year on fast forward. Scott and I officially get married in five days... yep, FIVE teeny tiny days! I'm feeling a mixed bag of holy shitballs, this is amazing/petrifying/someone pour me a large G&T! Not to mention a tad stressed at the fact that I still have an endless amount of paper to stick together and 120 order of services to make. 
URGH!
Anyways, enough of the wedding chit chat. August has been... interesting, if not a little quieter than usual around these parts. I'll be back with a bang mid-September and my word, I've got SOOO much to tell you guys! I'll hopefully be trying to schedule a few bits and pieces in here and there, but for now, I hope you've all had an incredible August and here's to an amazing September!

August Beauty Wish List

If there's one thing that I certainly need more of, it's beauty products... *scoff*  I know, I know... but I feel like over the last few weeks, I've been obsessing over my make up collection way more than usual. I'm like, 'I NEED EVERYTHING!' Seriously, first world problems guys.

Naked Skin - Cheating A Good Night's Sleep

Before we get stuck into the review today, I just want to apologise for the uninspiring photography that we've got going on in this post. I'm currently crashing at my rents house with zero props and pieces so yea, we're going in with a cushion. 
Anyway, I've been lusting after the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer for what feels like a lifetime, so I knew that as soon as I was back in the UK, it would be straight in my shopping basket. 

LUSH Creamy Candy

If there's one thing I'm a sucker for, it's a LUSH bubble bar. I live for the stuff! It's not often I get the chance to indulge in a relaxing bath in Finland as baths are scarce, however, as soon as my feet touch base in the UK, I make sure I run out and stock up on bubbly treats for a long-overdue soak in the tub. 
The other week, I used up an old Mother Superior bubble bar that I'd had stashed away from earlier this year. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have spied it. I shall spare you the deets as I've mentioned it previously on here. No, today we are talking about the heavenly Creamy Candy Bubble Bar from LUSH. Recently re-formulated, this gorgeous bath time treat is seriously amazeballs!

Warm Peach Salad

I'm hitting you with another foodie post today, but fear not, it'll be much healthier than the delicious chocolate cake recipe I posted a few weeks ago! (Apologies for ruining any diets with that one.) So, here we are with a light, Summer, warm peach salad recipe which I threw together one evening for a healthy dinner. It's super quick and simple to make and what's more, it makes fine Instagram material!

Life-Changing

Hey guys, it has been FOREVER since I sat down and had a good, ol' chit chat on here, so today I thought I would right those many wrongs. 
First up, for the last ten (or so) years I have been living a lie. At the tender age of 16/17, I paid a visit to my GP, and after having my stats taken, walked away a grand, five feet, five inches tall. Proud and happy in the knowledge that I was distinctly average in stature. Skip forward to last week, and my world came crashing down around me. Unable to believe that someone of this size would have difficulty seeing over passing cars, Scott's mum demanded a re-test... and the results were life-changing.

Officially a member of the itty bitty committee and a whole TWO INCHES less of a person than I used to be. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel some sort of loss, although on the bright side, I can begin to browse the petite section of life, knowing that I belong.

I'm currently wrapped up in my duvet, surrounded by bin bags of winter clothing, a white feather boa and more tealight holders than you could shake a stick at. I'd explain but we'd probably be here a long time and no doubt you want to crack on with the good stuff. 
Also, I need to point out how proud I am of myself for managing to sit down and blog twice over the last few days... I barely even know my own name at the moment so it really is quite the achievement.
Anyhoo...

That Time Writing My Wedding Vows Made Me Feel Like A Bad Person

Ridiculously long blog post title - check! I wanted to jump right in and give you the full picture of what we're dealing with today and so four words just really weren't sufficient. Not that I have a four word, blog post title limit, but ya know... *something to do with SEO* 
No, today is a serious topic guys! I have come to the earth-shattering realisation that I'm probably a shitty person. Not like, bb gun the shit out of your dog, levels of shitty, but somewhere around the cold-hearted bitch mark. It was whilst sitting down to write my wedding vows that I came to discover this hidden gem about myself. Let me paint the picture...

So here we are. Of course I had to pick up a lipstick too, ya know how it is... 

Life Through A Lens #8

So, it would appear that I'm not a blogger anymore. Or at least one that has any sort of posting schedule and the faintest whiff of organisation. I am, yet again, late with my Life Through A Lens post and, (if truth be told) almost forgot about it entirely!
These last few days have been a whirlwind. I touched down on British soil last Thursday and honestly haven't stopped since. One of my close friends from university is getting married on Saturday and so we were all away for her hen do this weekend. If there's one thing I learned from downing chilli vodka and obscene amounts of prosecco; it is that I absolutely no longer have the capacity to be 'wild.' Sunday evening was spent curled up in my pjs with a hot cup of tea, trying to rid myself of the beer shakes that had gripped my body from simply having too much fun.
