MAC Enabled

Before we get into the review side of this post, I'm just going to put it out there that this purchase was completely enabled by the gorgeous Amy from Amy Charlotte. A little while back, she wrote this post on the seriously stunning MAC pigment in Tan and I was like, NEED!

So here we are. Of course I had to pick up a lipstick too, ya know how it is...

Tan is my first ever MAC Pigment and I dived in head first with an uhhmazing shade. It's a sickeningly beautiful, shimmery bronze. If you're a neutrals kinda girl, this one's for you.

I've always shied away from pigments in the past. They screamed, 'messy' and I didn't really feel like they'd perform much better than your typical pan eye shadow so I tended to avoid them altogether. Surprisingly though, I'm really impressed with how easy they are to use. Yes, there's fallout, yes there's a bit more faff involved and in MAC's world, they're a touch more expensive than the individual shadows but for Tan, I'm willing to go the extra mile.

I apply the product with a wet make up brush, (I've swatched it wet too.) and it really is super pigmented! A little goes a long way and I'll be nothing short of amazed if I ever manage to see the end of this tub.

Obviously, no trip to the MAC counter would be complete without a browse of the lipstick stand. I wasn't intending on buying anything but then Speak Louder quite literally spoke to me and before you could scream Cremesheen, it was in my shopping bag.

Speak Louder is a lovely, blue-toned pink. The Cremesheen formula is one of my favourites as it's super rich and creamy - funnily enough! I won't bore you with the usual spiel, but it's already graced my face on numerous occasions and it's safe to say it's quickly becoming my fave bright lippie.

Have you tried either of these products from MAC and/or do you have any pigment shades that you'd really recommend. I'm thinking I perhaps need to expand my collection. Let me know what you think.
