New In From Anastasia Beverly Hills

Before we begin, I just want to put it out there that I only went in for the Brow Definer.

I was in need of a new brow pencil as the NYX version I was using was a few smidges too light for my current hair colour. In fact, I was walking away to pay when I spotted a girl holding one of the new Glow Kits in her hands. How had I missed them?

What followed was a good 10-15 minute debate with myself over which palette to buy.

I went with Gleam (the silver one) after convincing myself I would buy the other for the Summer, and I think I've found my soul mate.

So, let's start with what I went in for - The Brow Definer. I opted for the shade 'Chocolate' and I'd say it's a pretty good match for me. Though I will say I could have gone ever so slightly darker but it's nothing a bit of a heavy hand can't solve - I do like a bolder brow for the evening. For day wear though, Chocolate is perfect.

I was skeptical when this was initially released. I was sure the triangular shape would be difficult to work with and I'd be unable to get the precision I'd like. I needn't have worried though as everything about the design works perfectly. The narrow part of the nib is good for the tail of my brows whilst the larger 'end' is great for filling in. In a word, I love this. It's all I've reached for since I picked it up and I feel like my brows have never looked better.

I feel like this is going to join my trusty 'must-haves' collection.

Then comes the impulse purchase...

The ABH Glow Kit in Gleam. *Swoon*

This set of four highlighting powders features two pinkish shades - Hard Candy which only really works as a blusher for me and Starburst which is a very soft baby pink highlight. Crushed Pearl which is the lightest and possibly my favourite of the bunch and Mimosa which is a warmer, champagne shade.

I think I'm about to make a bold statement... but if I only ever had to use one highlighting product for the rest of my life, it would be this palette!

There are no complaints to be had. The powders are buttery soft and beautiful to apply. A little goes a long way and the packaging is spot on. Bar Hard Candy, the rest also double up as stunning eye shadow shades and there really isn't much more you could possibly want in life.

I'm glad I stuck with my instinct and went for the Gleam palette as I think the warmer palette (I really should find out the name! - the gold one) would be a little too dark for my current skin tone. You can bet your bottom dollar by the time Summer rolls around, I'll be bathing in all those golden hues though!

Have you tried any of these products from Anastasia Beverly Hills? What are your thoughts on the highlighting palette - do you prefer sets like this or single powders? Let me know what you think below.

For anyone in Abu Dhabi, I picked these up at Debenhams in Yas Mall. Go, go, go!
