Make Me Blush

Whether you're planning a hot date or a slinging back cocktails with your girls this Valentine's Day, choosing the right make up look can often give us girls a real headache. Whilst a vampy red lip is probably the most obvious choice for Valentine's slap, I typically like to keep things soft with particular emphasis on a blush that whispers, 'This aint no PG-13 flush ladies!'

Here's some of my blush picks for fabulously flirty Valentine's make up:

♥️ Chanel Cream Blush Shade 64 Inspiration - A soft, cool pink that blends flawlessly into your skin. (Full Review)

♥️ MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul - A warm, natural-looking blush with a gorgeous, gold shimmer running through it. This is one of my all-time favourites.

♥️ Clinique Chubby Stick in 02 Robust Rhubarb - A dewy, coral pink which looks especially beautiful with bronzed skin.

♥️ Makeup Revolution The One Blush Stick in Rush - Another shimmery peachy/pink cream blush. You can skip the highlighter with this one. A very good dupe (shade wise) for...

♥️ NARS Orgasm from the Domination Cheek Palette - A very soft pink with peachy-gold shimmer for a subtle, healthy glow. A beauty blogger fave. (Full Palette Review)

♥️ Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher in 95 Rose De Jaspe - A warm, dusky rose colour with a (very subtle) silver sheen. Silky smooth and a dream to apply.

♥️ I Heart Makeup Blushing Heart Blusher in Peachy Keen - A beautiful baked blusher with three complimentary shades that can be used separately or blended together. I always swirl my brush around the pot and it gives a gorgeous peachy pink shimmer. The pigmentation of this one is spot on considering it's a budget buy. (Full Review)

Okay, writing this, I realised I may have a thing for peachy pink blushers. Anyone else love a soft, shimmery shade?

Have you decided on a make up look for Valentine's Day and which part of your face do you like to focus on, are you team eyes, lips or cheeks?

  1. Bourjois blushes are some of my favourite high-street blushers and for the price they are amazing. Also love the blushing hearts ones - so pretty.

  6. Lovely blush picks! I've been really into cream blushers lately and the Chanel blush still looks stunning to me. A gorgeous pink blush from my stash for Valentine would be the YSL Kiss&Blush no.8 !

    1. Thank you Laura. I will need to check out your blush recommendation. I don't really own much make up from YSL, except the Touche Eclat which is a staple. xxx

  7. I have Warm Soul and I love it! One of my favourite blushes ever. The Bourjois one looks quite similar to it (but more pink). So pretty! x

    1. I went through a stage of wearing Warm Soul pretty much every single time I did my make up. It's definitely my go-to blusher shade when I don't really know what to wear. Dig it back out and show it some love! ;) xxx
